Multi-state Games
To begin with, states with somewhat modest residents cooperated together to make plays that have loftier cash prizes. Games now also have districts alongside a diverse range of inhabitants. One particular game is Mega Millions, previously known as The Big Game, that is now played in Washington, Virginia, Texas, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Georgia and California.
Mega Millions has 2 independent ballots — one of that is a “reward” type ball, or the Megaball. Alongside the “Mega” jackpots are, of course, super odds. In the year 2000, when still monikered The Big Game, it produced headlines when it provided the biggest jackpot in North American history — $363,000,000.
A similar game with really big odds is Powerball, offered by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It’s sold in 29 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia. To win, the player has to correctly select five numbers picked from a field of fifty-five (5/55) and at the same time correctly pick the Powerball number, that is a single number drawn from a scope of forty two (1/42). Two independent ball-picking machines are put to use.
Powerball has daunting odds against collecting the jackpot. Although the prize is comparable to Mega Millions and has made it one of the most well known lotto games in America. As in Lotto, you can still win a smaller amount if you perfectly buy some of the numbers. The drawings are held every Wed and Saturday night.
