RSS feeds were first developed in 1995 when Ramanthan V. Guha had developed the Meta Content Framework. The development led to such a fast change in the technology that it is now used in peer to peer sharing software for downloading.
RSS which is an abbreviation for rich site summary, and is jokingly referred to as really simple syndication sometimes and actually is a family of web feed formats. They are commonly and easily used to print regularly updated works like regular changes in blogs, news headlines, audio, and video in a standardized format. RSS document is called RSS feeds which contains highlights of information and is coupled with a link or metadata usually to give a brief of the information that can be accessed with its help. It is basically a modus operandi involving use of RSS format for syndicating news and content of news like websites which need constant up gradation and make use of catch phrases from the other websites on the internet.
