A strong foundation that keeps a relationship together is communication - if it breaks down, there is a big possibility that relationship will crumble. When the couple do not communicate anymore, the marriage is not nourished. It is no longer a marriage.
Respecting your partner
Oftentimes, we reject another's perceptions particularly when we have unlike views. The first step to better dialogues is to respect your partner. Respect allows you to accept another person’s point of view whole-heartedly. You should learn how to consider and value the view or suggestions of your spouse.. Let your partner know that your respect and value for him or her supersedes the specific issue you are discussing.
Time and Effort is compulsory in your Communication
An active effort is needful for a good communication.. Get yourself and the other person totally into the communication process. If one partner takes over – ie., does all the talking, offers all the tips, and has most or all of the mastery or influence – this effort can only be one-sided.
Through putting this enthusiasm into communication, you will make a statement to your partner about your commitment and obligation. It will demonstrate that the relationship is important to you and that you are willing to involve yourself fully in this act of communication. Intimate communication may not be worth the effort without love. Love is critical to the relationship. Yet love alone it is not enough. Good communication makes love possible, certainly makes it better, and ultimately may be love itself.
When you get right down to it, communication in marriage is not about being understood by each other, communication is about handling what another person thinks and feels. Married people are not having trouble communicating. They communicate all too well. Honesty increases when two people are able to deal the message properly. And when honesty in a relationship boosts, you mature more as an individual and closer together. And because of this growth you are capable of reaching new stages of passion and intimacy.
Effective Communication is a Skill
Effective communication in a relationship does not just happen at once. It may seem that way in the beginning, but as all couples know, once that honeymoon phase is over, the real trial begins. It is not right that you can productively communicate with your spouse on your own. It is only through an agreed and juncture commitment that you can attain a greater understanding to each other. It is absolutely a skill, and you will need to practice it in this journey of life... perhaps many times, but the good news is that anyone can learn it!
Always remember that arguments are normal in every marriage Maybe people have different views about the true meaning of the word “argument”. The husband and wife are two different personalities.. Issues are usually part of our lives and in our married life. The essential thing is how to handle the arguments. You’ll need to communicate with some skill. As soon as you address your communications problems,, the better off your relationship will be offering each of you the opportunity to have your needs met in the relationship. Marriage is one of the most lovely things that a person can have. The capability to give yourself to one person is not only a very romantic notion, but it is the mark of a person with emotional strength. A good way to get communication in marriage going again in your relationship is to start small. If you find that talking out loud about certain things, you can try writing your felings in a piece of note and leave it your partner to read. Try and make that a thing that you both do until you are more at ease talking out loud about whatever concerns you are having. As you do this more you will sooner or later learn to talk out loud rather than relying on the notes.
